This rosette features a laser cut wooden image of a lover's eye jewel, backed with lace and surrounded by tiers of brown ribbons.
The rosette measures approximately 5 inches wide and 7.25 inches tall.
Lovers' eyes were antique miniature paintings, worn as jewelry in a display of affection or mourning - since only the eye was depicted it was discreet show of sentiment for a person who might not be appropriate to publicly acknowledge...All Mossbadger rosettes have a combination back so they can be worn as a brooch or hairclip.
