Inspired by Herman Melville’s Victorian whaling novel, Moby Dick, the Moby Dick Nautical Series features a specially commissioned illustration by our resident artist, Matthew Boyle. The print consists of alternating images of the illusive White Whale and the Pequod whaling ship, in cameo form with a frame of sea plants and deep sea creatures, Directly underneath the drawings are two different quotes from the book.
This is the second release in our 19th-Century Literature Print Series -- each edition will feature a different illustration inspired by an author or work. Each print and its accessory items are presented as a limited edition of 150 pieces. Once a design sells out, it’s gone forever!

Our flagship item is a one-piece sailor-style dress featuring the hand-silkscreened Moby Dick print around the hem of the skirt. The dress has regency-era-inspired romantic puffed sleeves and an empire waist! It is constructed in our small New York City factory out of 100% British-made cotton, and is fully, professionally lined in soft polyester with an invisible zipper at back and detachable waist ties with a button attachment. This item is hand-washable using bleach-free products (no dry-cleaning needed).
The dress is available in two colorways:

1. Black with Ivory collar and print, and a red chiffon ribbon for a darker, vibrant look (note: ivory underskirt in pictures not included).
2. Ivory with Navy Blue collar and print, and a navy blue matching chiffon ribbon for an elegant, afternoon tea style.

You may also order the dress in two lengths:

1. Below-knee length natural kei style, for a romantic look of eras past (26” from natural waist).
2. Above knee length for a traditionally cute lolita silhouette (20” from natural waistline).

Size 1 best fits a U.S. bra size of “B” or smaller. Sizes 2 and 3 are made to fit a “C” or smaller. Size 4 best fits a size “D” or smaller, and 5 fits “DD” or smaller."
